PREMISES LICENCE
We hope you enjoy your visits to Appleshaw Village Hall!
Our Premises Licence allows the sale of alcohol and other licensable activities on the premises. The Licensing Act 2003 was recently amended to drop the requirement for a Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) for some community halls, and we have applied successfully for this requirement to be waived. The premises' DPS is now effectively the management committee.
The Committee includes two Personal Licence holders, Bob Caddy and Jenny Hopkins, who can advise hirers on specifics - see Contacts page.
The Premises Licence is displayed on the main Hall noticeboard, along with this short note of the Licensing Act's main requirements, which should be read by hirers in conjunction with the Conditions of Hire on the booking form. Also read this letter from the TVBC Licensing Officer about new Mandatory Conditions which have been added to the Licensing Act 2003.
